Visiting the Frankfurt area for a family wedding in early April for about a week. We will be in Frankfurt, Mainz and Wiesbaden, and may drive to Heilbronn over night. We have a three year old girl and an infant who will be nine months old. I've visited the area before, but mostly done things of adult interest, like the art museums, going wine tasting, best water purifier in india driving up the Rhine, etc. What types of sites and activities might capture the imagination of my three year old? Also, what playgrounds or, given the fact that it will still be quite chilly, indoor play spaces best water purifier in india are there available in the area (I'm sure there are playgrounds in public parks, but are there any special ones that are worth seeking out)? I've heard the zoo in Frankfurt is recommended and saw mention best water purifier in india of the Opel Zoo outside of town, too.
In Frankfurt, smaller children might enjoy the Palmengarten, as the tropical and desert houses are fun. Hopefully the weather might turn nice as they have a fun train that runs through as well as playgrounds. The Communication museum can be fun for smaller children as they can run around rather freely and touch everything. If it is Sunday, you might want to go to the Antique Tram museum as the kids can crawl all over the old trams. If the weather behaves, I would go to Bethmann park in Bornheim. The playground there is more for smaller children best water purifier in india and in April it is gorgeous with all the flowers and trees in bloom. best water purifier in india Plus it has a Chinese Garden. The Zoo is fun and the Opel Zoo is not too far out of town. If the weather is really nasty, there is a childrens place in the My Zeil shopping mall on the top floor. You pay by the hour, but it has slides, balls, etc for the little ones to play in, plus food and drinks. The Lego store at My Zeil is a big attraction for the smaller set. They can sit at tables for as long as they want, playing with all the Lego. The Spring Dippemess will be held from 15 April to 8 May, but I don't know if that matches your time period. This is sort of a carnival / county fair sort of thing, but minus the animals and agriculture. There are about 40 some parks in Frankfurt, all with playgrounds, so one is never too far away. We can only hope the weather is nice and it can sometimes be lovely in April.
A few more thoughts for the Wiesbaden area: in Wiesbaden there are several pools (a Hallenbad is an indoor pool); one such pool is the Hallenbad Kleinfeldchen. http://www.schwimmbadcheck.de/11138/Frei-und-Hallenbad-Kleinfeldchen.html . There is also indoor bowling (maybe best water purifier in india OK at a pinch for your 3 yr old, and a lot of other adult pursuits such as video games and billiards) at the Fun Fabrik (Hagenauer Str. 9 - D 65203 Wiesbaden - Fon 0611 601325 best water purifier in india - Fax 0611 608916). http://www.funfabrik.de/index_frame.html . These are off the beaten track, especially the bowling alley, which is in a commercial area, so you will probably want a car. As well as the Opel Zoo there is a wildlife park (with wolves and bears) called Tier- und Pflanzenpark Fasanerie, just to the north of Wiesbaden. It's in a pretty, leafy area (the Platte), nice for a drive. best water purifier in india It's open in winter as well as summer. best water purifier in india http://www.wiesbaden.de/vv/oe/05/67/141010100000005980.php Finally, here is a list of playgrounds (Spielplaetze) in Wiesbaden. On the left is the definitive list and you can click on the entries. You can refine the search for indoor playgrounds on the right-hand side of the page (Indoorspielplaetze): http://www.spielplatznet.de/spielplaetze/Wiesbaden If any of t
