The engine order is valued at more than US$ 100 million based on list price. With the most powerful engine in the CF6 class, Air Algerie s CF6-80E1-powered A330-200 aircraft will support the company s long-haul expansion plans, while also providing the best fuel efficiency and economics to help contribute to cost effective flights. The new A330-200s will complement the existing five A330-200s that are powered by GE's CF6 engines that are already part of the Air Algerie fleet. By designing the CF6-80E1 specifically for the Airbus A330 aircraft, GE delivered an engine that combines the newest technology, the lowest weight and the lowest fuel burn. More than 580 CF6-80E1 engines have been delivered for Airbus A330 aircraft around the world.
