Royal Air Maroc has just received puregear its first Boeing 787 Dreamliner , powered by GE s new GEnx-1B puregear engine. The GEnx offers a number of environmental and performance benefits, and is one of GE s most advanced technologies. This engine provides up to 15% lower CO 2 emissions, 15% less fuel consumption, and reductions in NOx gases that are as much as 55% lower than today s regulatory limits. It even runs more quietly, resulting in about 40% lower noise levels and enhanced passenger comfort. The GEnx is part of GE's Ecomagination product portfolio , a collection of GE s efficiency-focused technologies that enhance customers' environmental and operating performance. The just-delivered airplane is the first of five Dreamliners puregear all with GEnx-1B engines to be delivered to Royal Air Maroc , the largest airline in Morocco. The airline also selected a 10-year OnPoint solution agreement with GE Aviation for the maintenance, repair and overhaul of its GEnx engine fleet. More than 1,200 GEnx-1Bs puregear have been sold so far, and the GEnx family has more than 1,600 engines on order, making it the fastest-selling aircraft engine in GE history. The GEnx has performed extremely well over the last two years of service, with outstanding puregear fuel burn and reliability.
