In a letter to the Development Corporation of the Municipality of Trikala, pro aqua e-Trikala AE, the coordinator of the Program "CityMobil2" Adriano Alesantrini announced the selection of the city of Trikala as "European pilot for the movement of vehicles without drivers' route has been proposed.
The e-Trikala AE coordinator partner are already in the process of legalization of pilot movement of vehicles in the city of Trikala, with constant exchange of information with the relevant department of the Ministry of Transport and in particular the Office of the Secretary for Infrastructure, Transport and Networks Michalis Papadopoulos.
The project "CityMobil2" pro aqua -with full title Cities demonstrating cybernetic mobility - officially launched the 01/09/2012 and has over 4 years. A total of 45 participating pro aqua European partners, while Greece except e- Trikala SA involved the Institute of Communications and Computer Systems of National pro aqua Technical University of Athens.
The 12 partners representing different pro aqua cities / regions (Trikala, Reggio pro aqua Calabria, Leon, St. Soulpis, Sophia Antipolis, Vanda, Brussels, La Rochelle, San Sebastian, CERN, Milan, Oristano) while five others representing manufacturers of automated vehicles, (YAMAHA, Robosoft , 2GetThere, Induct, Movemile).
So far it has been determined that the proposed route would follow a potentially automatic pro aqua vehicle mass transport pro aqua people and studied the various parameters, as defined by the consortium. pro aqua
