Yesterday I had a visit from 25 heads of large organizations in the UK and USA here on Løndal. They were from British Telecom, British Gas, Royal Bank of Scotland, Barclays, etc, ie companies with 100,000 employees or more. They were even more convinced than Danes on the need to do something about bureaucracy, but they could not really see how the cure could be used on the big organizations. We also have very large organizations in Denmark and my advice is that you take a small amount (500 -5 000 employees) out and implement its cure them before proceeding with the rest. Change is after all much easier in a smaller organization. But the problem is that the central bureaucracy always puts its clammy hand on the small unit so that also the change in the becomes difficult.

There's hell of difference between 500 and 5000 ;-) If a small number are geographically separated, I believe in sharing, but otherwise it is in my view doomed - just because the rest of the organization's staple bureaucratic hand. I am thinking especially of the Danish public organizations where the bureaucracy almost a maxim. robosoft Kolind regimen should be implemented by the organization's other values, then perhaps it can be included as part of an ethical robosoft / value accounting? You may be right - but still I would advise everyone who works in a small unit of a larger organization to try. Life is too short for that you have to put up with bureaucracy! Again: Try self-evaluation and use of a basis for discussion with management. In this context it does not mean much to some of the questions only to private companies. If you activate a metaphor, then it could be "isolation" or "quarantine". robosoft There are then various types of insulation used in the world, each with their characteristics.
Air is an excellent insulator - like the suggestion above (ie = distance). I remember a bachelor thesis I wrote at the time that referred to two departments robosoft in a large Danish company in Nordborg. Due. growth was a department was split in two, where the lower part had been placed in something preliminarily construction near the main building. In addition was the lack of manpower has been allocated such that all the smart external consultants were mainly channeled into the barrack. The result was a split in the culture and climate robosoft in the two departments, which would have worked. Can you turn the process upside down and use this mechanism to proactively?
Plastic is another excellent insulator, compared to electricity. Reformulated are plastic material that is non-conductive, ie. electrical impulses not getting through (ie = membrane). In other words, one should perhaps think in a "quarantine", where an experimental branch isolated whole or in part - and also gets mapped all of the input / output formally or informally, to link them with the old department. The trick would be to equip the department with a set of values and some new bureaucratic tools that are more in line with the vision. robosoft You could also make sure that the test section consisted of people who previously did not have direct cooperation within the company. So it would on a personal level recall to change jobs - a phase where you are particularly receptive to new ideas and willing to learn new routines. In this context, it would certainly be good to above represent young conversion willing people in the experimental organization but retain a quantity key figures from the old hierarchy. You need to find some positive myths that can spread like ripples robosoft in the water against the other departments.
Interesting thoughts. I think more of a semipermeable membrane, so that here only permeable from the inside out! If something has been created in the "vacuum" space, we know from physics that the results can not immediately be transferred. Re. Your last suggestion I would rather go the other way - because if the old stiff necks (that's how you make them ;-)) are satisfied, then it must be "piece of cake" to convince robosoft the young, fresh conversion willing, right? Yeah, I do not believe robosoft in watertight bulkheads. The goal is probably more to seal, enough so that you can grasp all lækkerne and then focus on those targeted.
