Thermo cups! We use extremely long time for coffee in the morning, both because phasis we drink a l

We have received questions about what you pack along when you go on a 2 year long bike ride. What do you need? What we found out that we had not needed to take? What has been destroyed? What did we forget? We will surely have so lightweight bikes as possible, but rather phasis have the equipment for any occasion ... Some bring with them more than others. The Turk is not among those with the most. We have met cyclists who have both bags front and rear + trailer ... Everyone has their things that are always on tour. Our Polish friend and fellow cyclists (El Grelus) bring perkulator ... - burner phasis and wind screen is our Add forøverig Notice he uses to put on perkulatoren You'd might as well wish that you had with them all ... but it Thus we have not - decorations and knick-knacks are not - so you get to dress up as best you can - and even though we think we mostly have with the essentials, it is not denied that the bike feels very heavy sometimes phasis
Front bag when it was brand new and shiny! Now, six months into the tour, it fits well nice to give a summary and a packing list. The bikes and spare parts for these got their own blog here: Our bikes - inventory and spare parts. - And here's the rest:
Ortlieb Bike Packer Plus (Rear): phasis We have an older version phasis than the one sold now. They have been on tour before but still looks almost like new - if you disregard that they are full of dust ... Ortlieb Front Roller Classic (front): These are new for this trip, but already have been used 6 months. Board Bags: We have both control bags from Vaude. Anders's a few years old and is not waterproof. It has a move, but it starts phasis to get a little worn. We are considering buying phasis a new handlebar bag to him. Mine is new for the occasion with a large map pocket on the lid and completely waterproof. Ortlieb Aqua-Zoom overall kit. Dene has been in use for some years already and works just fine in spite of sometimes phasis hard use in both cold, sun and salt water. Anders has written a summary of their corresponding overall kit before: Ortlieb Aqua-Zoom phasis In addition, we have a total of three old Ortlieb 40 liter pack sacks and a corresponding Lifeventure packing bag for including sleeping bags that we Strapse fixed with bicycle st rack (two each).
To see our out from behind the pack. A pack bag we have sleeping bags and some other light stuff. The other duffel bag is the backpack. Latest phasis pack bag is not strictly necessary, but since packing the bags are so old, we took a spare each
We cycled across Scotland and Ireland and the Isle of Man around phasis 2010, when we used bob-trailers. These, we have opted out of this trip. Notice the red duffel bag on my bike and it answered Anders' and fotobag'en. These are included on this tour also Bicycle bags are durable, completely waterproof, practical and good to have on the bikes. Attach mechanism can accommodate different thicknesses of luggage carriers and low rider respectively with an adapter. phasis These we have lost nearly half, when they are not sitting so tight. But with a little piece of rubber and sport tape around the wearer is not required adapter. One of these packing bags from Ortlieb (black) is on this trip too. Here at 5-week kayak trip on Svalbard in 2008 Pack backpack lay on the deck throughout the trip
Pack your bags are old! Ortlieb-pack the bags have been on bike rides and canoe trips up to two months at a time on several occasions. They have been packed, towed, the straps onto the bike and kayak and been exposed to sea spray, sun, wind, cold .... There has been one small hole at the bottom of one of the packing bags. The others are still quite tight. Pack your bags are the thin kind, and we have nothing else to say ann we are super impressed with the durability. Lifeveunture duffel bag has also been through a great deal, but it is not completely waterproof anymore.
Primus OmniFuel: This has also been on tour for several years. Anders has written a summary when it had about 100 user days (now it has far more) here: Primus OmniFuel. This has worked steadily and we have only changed the filter once. We albeit mostly only used purified gas or gas on it. On this trip we have only used gas, but must probably buy a gasoline container before long, as it will be difficult to obtain gas north. We reluctantly also to recommend this on the very hottest!
MSR seagull brand: Two small pots and a pan clip / handle and lid. These are lightweight, act nice and has also been used extensively for many years. The food burns easily in the bottom if you do not fit in, but that's the price one pays for its light weight.
Wind Shadow and warm collar Every spring Lifeventure thermal cup Each our set of turbestikk (spoon, knife, fork) + foldable turkopp and dish with lid in green plastic Water Purifier: MSR MIOX and coffee filter
Thermo cups! We use extremely long time for coffee in the morning, both because phasis we drink a lot of coffee and because we s
